Parking provided by the hotel Was good but access ramps were very tight and careful concentration and driving is a must when entering this car park
Had a lovely stay would go back again .bathroom could do with a bit of up date .need to do something with car park spaces to small .out door smoking area could do with a tidy up .Tina co wicklow
Hotel is ideally located. The staff was just fantastic lovely friendly and very helpful. Food was also amazing the dinner was very tasty and service very quick. But it really does need some money spent on upgrades . We moved rooms as the first was smelly and the mattress was very bad. Room we got was nice clean beds were fresh
Stayed at this hotel for one night only. . .the location is perfect and the staff are friendly and very helpful. . Really enjoyed my short stay here and would definitely return. . .
We really enjoyed our overnight break in this hotel. The staff from the moment we arrived to the time we left were friendly and professional. The food was excellent and presented very well. It’s a beautiful old quirky hotel full of character. The rooms are spotless and beds comfortable. I would recommend a little stay here in the heart of Navan.
We enjoyed our stay in the Newgrange Hotel. All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful, very special. The hotel is located in the centre of Mullingar, with a car park which was very convenient. Our room had a double and single bed and was very spacious and clean. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast was excellent. It is a very homely, cosy hotel at a very reasonable price. Thanks so much.
Although an old hotel it is very clean and well run by a great staff and the hotel has a rustic feel about it and the food is excellent and well served . will definitely return in the future. Would also like to say that your Lidl web site for leisure breaks is excellent and great value
Although an old hotel it is very nice and well kept and has a real rustic feel about it but the real bonus is the staff at all levels in welcoming and professional will be returning in the future
good
Comfortable with nice food and friendly staff. Using lift is confusing given reception at street level is floor 4. Could not get saorview stations on tv contacted reception at 20.50 hours was informed someone would be up to fix 40 mins later and no one arrived
Staff were so helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. The rooms were spotless clean .
Very comfortable, clean rooms with a nice en suite. There is an underground car park which is handy but quite awkward to negotiate. Breakfast was a bit like being in a canteen, the food was good but the tea and coffee is from an urn and not very nice; I would have preferred a pot of tea and table service. We had dinner in the bar and the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location being handy for shops, bars, restaurants and the bus station. We thought it was very good value and would visit again.
Lovely hotel. Very central. Friendly and helpful staff and amazing food. Will be making a return trip.

Nice old hotel with a bit of character. Probably needs a bit of updating. Staff very helpful
Third visit staff moved us when we had no heat on arrival. Made use of the meal deal. A bit disappointed on dinner choice this time. Breakfast great staff friendly. Shall return for b and b deal. Good location .
We arrived in the hotel on the 28th September we were greeted with a smile on arrival our room clean and comfortable and the food is 10 out of 10 no complaints what so ever looking forward to re booking in 2022 Declan
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room nice and clean. Food excellent. Friendly atmosphere all around. Would like to visit again.
Lovely hotel and staff. Very central in the town and to other amenities.
All staff great
The food was delicious but at breakfast coffee and toast were put on your table first. Before you were halfway through your fruit or cereal the fry was brought out. We ate in the bar in the evening food again delicious. The only items put on the table were a knife fork and paper serviettes no sauces which were on every table in the beer garden. Rooms were big and clean. We enjoyed our 3 nights and we would go back again
we enjoyed our stay, the food was excellent and the bar and restaurant staff were pleasant and attentive, my only criticism is that when you use the hotel car park you then have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to get to the reception desk,if in good health this would not be a problem, but my husband has a lung disease, also it would be helpful if there were some information in reception about different places of interest in the area to visit, overall a nice stay
Excellent hotel, just one complaint, our room was over smoking room / garden noise all night until the early hours, otherwise great will stay there again
Best Location in town Centre - Shops and Restaurants on doorstep. Adequate parking in Multi-storey parking. Helpful and courteous staff in all areas. The hotel was obviously well decorated and furnished in the 1990's, but is now drastically in need of investment and refurbishment. A covid-deep-clean was not evident. Dinner and breakfast were both tasty and well served. I would come again but I would give a better rating if the interior was upgraded.
First time to stay in this hotel. The staff were so friendly and food was great. Would highly recommend I couldn’t fault anything.
Enjoyed our stay.Very relaxing.Clean and comfortable hotel.Staff very pleasant and helpful.Food good and lovely pints of Heineken.Thank you.
Location was excellent good parking staff were excellent food was excellent the only downside is the rooms need a bit of a makeover

Brilliant stay staff were friendly and helpful 5 stars
Stayed here for two nights with my husband and two children. I hate having to leave a bad review but unfortunately it was not what we were expecting. The Pros: - Staff were pleasant (but not overly friendly) Breakfast was nice (but I think €6.50 is a bit pricey for a child's breakfast) Room was spacious enough and had all the facilities you would need. Bathroom was clean and modern enough with a bath and shower facilities. Rate was excellent. The Cons:- It is a very old fashioned "old country style" hotel with very dark heavy décor which looks a bit neglected. (not my cup of tea but I understand a lot of people would like this) First thing that hit me when I walked into the room was the sun streaming through really DIRTY windows. I understand it is on a busy road, but these should be cleaned regularly especially when the windows can actually open fully into the room. A quick wipe each time the room is cleaned would not take a big effort. Bedding etc. was clean but carpet was stained and top of TV, Chests etc were dusty. There was a shower curtain instead of a glass shower panel on the bath. (This is a pet hate of mine and unfortunately is the case in a lot of hotel rooms.) There were not enough towels supplied for a family of four. We had some of our own with us so didn't need to request more. We ate in the bar on the second night and the food was not good. The "House Style Chicken Curry" consisted of some chopped up cooked chicken breast with "made to order" curry sauce mix poured over it. The sauce mix hadn't even been cooked through. I sent it back and was not charged for it. Sausages one of my kids got were shrivelled up into nothing and chips were greasy. Hubby did say the soup was lovely though. We had a room at the front of the hotel which was right on a busy street. It is VERY VERY noisy at night (so very little sleep for me) which I can understand is out of the control of the hotel but something to note if you are considering staying here. Finally the multi story car park is terrible and quite dangerous. The ramps going from one level to another are terribly narrow. (a car going down in front of us got some nasty damage on the bottom of one of the doors from trying to manoeuvre around the kerbs on each end of the ramps) and pedestrians also need to use these ramps. In conclusion, I'm afraid I would not stay in this hotel again and would not recommend it to any of my friends, but for someone who likes the "Old Country Hotel" feel it would be OK.
Central location, beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, very friendly staff, I really love this hotel and will be going back with my children, so comfortable and cosy too.
when i arrived at the newgrange hotel i was made very welcome. the food was lovely.room very nice i will tell my friends about the hotel
