Reviews for `NUREMORE HOTEL `

Hotel grounds are beautiful, however the interior especially the rooms are dated and badly in need of some tlc. Our bathroom had black mould. Hot Breakfast buffet on the first morning was dreadful (rubber eggs) and on the second several menu options were missing. The leisure centre was nice but the jacuzzi was broken.

A really nice hotel, we had a great room which was spotless. The food in the bar was excellent and the breakfast was really good. The staff are however, the best part of this hotel, absolutely super, each and everyone. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here as family 5 3 under 5. Family room very large which great. Pool lovely nice heated seperate kids pool clean. Food breakfast fab cold hot Buffet plus menu for additional smoked salmon eggs benedict etc! Bar menu very minimal 4items for main and way overpriced my fish 18.50 very small had send back as so many bones. Kids dishes 9euro coujans consisted of 2 and half pieces chicken. Bedrooms weren't cleaned just towels toiletres dropped each day! We asked for it to be clean and left door service thing on to be cleaned. Not good enough I understand bout covid but when u have 2in nappies my husband had go reception with 2bags rubbish.. hotel outdated and reception area windows covered flies! Outdoor areas fabulous. Staff were so lovely everyone of them. I would return very convenient to places.

My wife & I had a family room for 5 nights with our two boys & it well surpassed our expectations. The family room was excellent with a large bedroom for us & a separate bedroom for the boys. The breakfast was lovely & the staff very friendly. The swimming pool was very well received by the boys even at 8am in the morning. We were also able to borrow tennis rackets to play on the two hotel tennis courts. The golf pro Tommy also loaned us two putters that we used on the hotel putting green. The Kids Club gave us adults time to ourselves for 3 hrs each evening. Visits to Blackrock & Clogherhead beaches were also very enjoyable. We will be back. Alan & Kathleen

All staff very friendly. Room was lovely. The food in the bar was really lovely but the service needs a lot of correction. There didn’t seem to be anyone in charge and the (Lovely &friendly) staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing. The swimming pool was very disappointing. They were taking bookings for hourly sessions but when we tried on a few occasions the pool was empty. The people that had booked hadn’t turned up and they wouldn’t let anyone else in instead. They should only take half hour bookings. The pool itself was lovely and the water was lovely and warm. Apart from these small issues we had a lovely time and would go again.

Enjoyed our stay, however the 2 course meal was quite expensive at €30 but was very nice and the service was excellent. Room was clean, however there was a yellow substance leaking from the fan/vent in the bathroom, so when the towel was placed on the floor to collect it, the towel was quickly saturated in this yellow substance!! I pointed this out to the receptionist when checking out and she did not seem to be too disconcerted about it. The flower pots at the entrance had seen better days and needed to be tidied up - not acceptable and gave a bad impression to guests on their arrival. Overall the staff were lovely and the surrounding area was peaceful and there was plenty to do,

Very nice hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, enough space for a family of 4. Changing rooms are very clean and spacious.

Really nice hotel rooms were very big and clean . Breakfast was nice and quiet most days we were there. Shops and restaurants a few mins drive away and Dundalk is 20mins drive from hotel too. We used the pool too which was very clean but a little bit cold for winter. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return again.

The hotel was clean, bright and the welcome at the reception desk was good. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good although the buffet for continental visitors could be upgraded in relation to choice. The accommodation was spacious and the bathroom was clean, all in all a good experience.

I stayed here with my daughter for one night, we enjoyed a lovely evening here having tea/coffee and scones outside looking at the lake when we arrived - which as well as being lovely, was excellent value. Enjoyed a lovely swim in the pool. Had bar food which was really very good. Room comfortable and plenty of choice for breakfast which we enjoyed. All staff that we met from the moment we arrived until we left were very nice. Thanks.

A great experience once again at this beautiful hotel however, the Management need to address the chaos surrounding breakfast to avoid guests having to write any negative remarks. This sadly, has been the only area that needs to be improved a.s.a.p Otherwise, all staff members are pleasant throughout and did their best to make us feel welcome.

Our stay at the Nuremore was not entirely pleasant as a couple looking for some R&R . We were unfortuante to have booked at the mid terms and the hotel was very full with alot of children and families . Compared to the last time we stayed there ( about a year ago) we felt that the standards had definately slipped in terms of hygiene , service and food . Our room although comfortable, was cold at night , damp and mildew was to be found in the corners and the wardrobe had water damage and a foul stench was coming through from the back of the bathroom . There was no hot water on Saturday evening at 7.00pm for a shower . I would highly recommend having breakfast in your room as they seemed unable to deal with the volume of guests for breakfast on Saturday, no plates, cold food, tables not cleaned, no cutlery, - general mayhem which is quiet stressful for guests who have been looking forward to a break since Christmas . The Spa / Pool area was dirty and the dressing rooms quite shabby. The highlight of the trip for me was a superb massage from Fiona in the treatment rooms , a fantastic and very relaxing experience. Dinner was good and the food menu was diversive and varied, the wine menu is superb . The snooker room was cold and very unwelcoming , even though we both enjoy playing we felt it had not sen a vacuum in years ! The policy with children at night is not adhered to and we felt that there was no privacy / quiet time in any bar, lounge or rest area that could be enjoyed with children running around at 12.00 midnight, while parents sat in the bar drinking. On Sunday we tried once again to swim in the pool and jacuzzi but were dissappointed that the jacuzzi was not functioning properly, had sand on the bottom of it , felt unclean and the policy when visitors use the sauna/steamroom and jumping straight into the pool and not showering, personally disgusted me. This should not be a 4 star Hotel , most dissapointing for a spot that could offer alot more .

Once again a fantastic stay at this hotel. From start to finish we enjoyed every aspect of this hotels offerings from the high standard of bedroom facilities to the warmth of a friendly bar atmosphere. Looking forward to our return visit and this deal is certainly to be recommended to everyone viewing this site.

Second time staying at this hotel in the last two months and is possibly the best hotel to stay at under hotelsinone.ie. From start to finish the staff were fantastic, the bedroom was spacious with a bed so comfortable, the bathroom was spotless and filled with nice products, the view we had across the golf course was picture postcard, the leisure facility to have this included was indeed a bonus and the icing on the cake was to have free entertainment that night in the lounge bar which was full hence, the atmosphere electric. If you thought it couldn't get any better next morning, the breakfast was in our opinion the best you can get at any hotel. Therefore, we have no cause for complaining, our stay if anything could only be described as PERFECT. We looking forward to repeating the experience very soon again. Thank you to all who made our stay a truely enjoyable one.

Recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is a wonderful place to stay , quiet relaxing and exceptionally great value through hotelsinone. The facilities throughout may be a little dated but the style of the bedrooms and generally features throughout are still a delight to experience. Exceptionally friendly staff. This hotel deal is to be recommended.
