Area Description
The heritage town of Celbridge is located in the thoroughbred county of Kildare and is only a short distance from Dublin's city centre. The name Celbridge comes from the Irish words Cill Droicid meaning the church of the bridge. Castletown House, Irelands finest Palladian country house is an imposing building established in the town in the year 1722 by Speaker William Connolly, who later went on to commission a school to be built in the town. The school we speak of is now Celbridge Manor Hotel and it is where we derive the name for our traditional Irish bar, The Schoolhouse.

Love to see rooms bit more cosy
Exceptionally good value. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful building and gardens. Great breakfast. Spacious bedrooms. Great bath, not so powerful shower. Our double bed was with two single mattresses making it a bit uncomfortable ... but we slept quite well nevertheless.
We had a wonderful Valentines night here at Celbridge Manor, all booked through Bargain breaks.ie Food, staff and accommodation were excellent. we were very pleased with the room also.
Just after having a fabulous weekend in the Celbridge Manor. The location was great, just off the M50 and the setting and surroundings were magical. The Receptionist welcomed us to the Hotel and she was very professional in her job role. The rooms were very big and you could have put 3 into a room with no problem. The cooked breakfast was great with a wide selection to eat - you wouldn't go hungry. The evening food in the Bar was beautiful, great flavours and excellent hospitality by all staff. There were 6 of us and we all had a great time, so much so that we are planning a return visit. I would rate the Hotel 4 * as there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms, but the Hotel supplied each room with a Fan which was brillant for this fabulous summer that we are currentlly having.
Beautiful hotel. The room was of a good size and was clean. The bathroom was perfect for our needs and the stand-alone bath was magnificent. I was there with my fiancé and we had a 3 course evening meal in the hotel bar. The food was superb; every course was simply delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and were always on hand to assist. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples who are looking for a romantic getaway or just looking for time to relax generally.
Excellent. this was a return visit. Bedrooms lovely and staff wonderful. Re the heat mentioned in previous comment, radiators are sometimes switched off and need to be turned on but heat up quickly. We had a problem getting ours to come on but a member of staff sorted it straight away. Will go again
Large, attractive room. Shower and beautiful stand alone bath. Enjoyable breakfast and friendly staff.
Our stay in Celbridge Manor was only one night (unfortunately )-we had a wedding to attend 5 miles from the hotel- When we arrived at Celbridge Manor, it was busy. The Receptionist was very helpful and dealt with us quickly. She also managed to get us a taxi, despite the taxi companies being very busy,so we were not delayed going to the wedding. Our room was large and very comfortable, beautiful shower and bath. Breakfast menu was as good as any hotel we have been in.
Very nice hotel family room was brilliant lots of space my 2 kids loved it room was cold only down fall breakfast was fantastic would stay again
Celbridge Manor Hotel is great on atmosphere and service. We were given an upgrade to a suite which was luxurious, very comfortable and really quiet.A small problem with the TV was quickly and efficiently resolved. Above all every member of staff from reception, bar, service and right up to Management was courteous ,extremely helpful and friendly.Food is basic yet well executed and tasty.-value for money is reflected in the price and popularity of the Hotel. A very enjoyable and appealing place to stay-we'll be back! M&M
