Lovely hotel

Martina scored 2 / 5 on 18/05/2022

I had a one night stay as a treat recently with my husband and son. It was not at all relaxing instead complete chaos. The hotel was accommodating Ukrainian refugees which I understand they are going through a terrible time. But I would have greatly appreciated knowing the situation before going in advance. I felt it should have been my decision. There was noise throughout the night, when we went for breakfast the next morning and all the food was gone to be left waiting for more and then my coffee pot was taken from my table. I was a paying customer and I felt in the way. It was a very bad experience for someone that was not away in a very long time and looking forward to it so much.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Springhill Court Hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff couldnt be nicer. They were smiling, friendly and welcoming. We have no complaints .The Leisure Centre was top class, warm and clean and very well maintained. No complaints with the dining experience either. Thanks for a lovely welcome and stay and we look forward to returning .

Nice no frills hotel with good character. Pool nice.. Food nice staff nice.. Pay no more than 10 for a taxi to killkenny. I got back for 8 but was charged 12 as i used the hotel taxi look up your own taxi and save the price of a nice pint of Guinness.. Good Guinness in the hotel too.

From the moment we arrived, early , the staff were very accommodating. Every staff member we met, said hello to us. The room was very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. We had a two course dinner and breakfast with our booking and the food was gorgeous, I would definitely stay there again.

Caroline scored 4 / 5 on 02/09/2021

Staff were absolutely brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us. Leisure facilities were great, hotel location was perfect for our family. Only two negatives was room was too hot for our children, they couldnt sleep with the heat. Secondly the paddocks bar, its evening bar menu did not suit our family's', needs. Our children like healthy, delicious food, eg veg stir frys, stews, etc.. The evening menu was very limited and very expensive and very tasteless.. However, on a big positive, the hotel was 110% spotless and covid guidelines seemed to be upheld at all times. Our young family felt very safe. I would definitely be back and hopefully by then the food will have improved..

Bronagh scored 4 / 5 on 02/09/2021

Great hotel. Would definately stay here again. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and drink choice in the paddock bar was brilliant. Pool and jacuzzi was lovely. Kids play area outside hotel was a real added bonus.

Joshua scored 4 / 5 on 28/06/2021

Family friendly hotel, staff were lovely and very attentive to the guests' needs. Perfect place for families with young children.

Laura scored 1 / 5 on 23/06/2021

Service was really bad. Anytime we needed anything we had to leave our seat and find someone and chase them down. Same with getting a pot of tea with breakfast sitting there with our cooked breakfast with no tea again had to find someone . Very disappointed .

Even though we are in difficult times we really enjoyed our stay there, and found the leisure facilities really to our liking. We will return.

Andrew scored 4 / 5 on 26/09/2020

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Kilkenny. Very quiet possibly due to the pandemic. The room was a fairly large triple with all that you might need. I would have liked a fridge too but as we were only there 3 days it was fine. We had half board and ate in the bar area. Food was nice and portions more than adequate.

Lorna scored 5 / 5 on 26/09/2020

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room and communal areas were immaculate and I really enjoyed my swim at the leisure club. The bar food was very good too. The only slight negative is it’s a little way out of town and the restaurant wasn’t open and having read the menu we were looking forward to that. Overall we were highly impressed. Thank you

Joseph scored 4 / 5 on 29/08/2020

We Really enjoyed our stay Staff very helpful and friendly Food excellent Look forward to next visit

Stayed here at a great price of 74 euro for two people on the Sunday of the August weekend/ Brilliant Hotel, friendly staff, Rooms spotless. We had meal in the Bar...great value and breakfast was great also. Had a swim in the warm pool....everything tip top...we will be back....the only drawback its a couple of miles from the city centre but taxis are available. Well done

Sheila scored 4 / 5 on 17/07/2017

Geraldine scored 4 / 5 on 15/11/2016

We stayed overnight at the Springhill Court Hotel with our 2 children in a family room. The receptionists were welcoming, the room was large and the bathroom clean. Everything was satisfactory. The food in the bar and at breakfast was very good. The lady in the cafe area in the morning was very accommodating and friendly. We loved the swimming pool area and spent a lot of time there. The changing rooms were really clean and the pool was lovely and warm. We were disappointed though to find the spa fully booked out on both days of our stay.

Eils scored 3 / 5 on 26/09/2016

Stayed here for one night with my husband and 2 children. We had a great time in the swimming pool. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, however I do feel the bedroom needs to be updated, a bit old fashioned. Enjoable stay

Je scored 1 / 5 on 22/07/2016

After 4 years of no holiday due to sickness we were very much looking forward to our very much needed break away. Although the reception/bar area are quite modern, when you get to your bedroom it is a different story. The room was small, dark, dreary and depressing. We spoke to reception who were completely preoccupied with a new system. We were willing to pay to upgrade to a better standard and we were told there are no better standard rooms (?!?!how is this not possible) bar the bridal suite which was in use. We changed to another room which was basically the same except for a bigger window. No love and attention has been put into these rooms, it was like staying in an old fashioned forgotten about 80's camper van. The rooms clearly hadnt been updated since build. NO resemblance whatsoever to the rooms advertised on their website. In fact, the whole hotel lacks comfort/cosiness/homeliness. Even the main seating/relax area off the lobby is basically a room with chairs/tables. No love and care given. It is rated as a 3 star, but the rooms are no way 3 star. The pool area is nice but that is where the hotel have put their money. The rooms are terrible. We had our 3 year old with us and there was no room or comfort for her to move in the room. The breakfast was sub standard, dry greasy food, no fresh fruit, only tinned oranges and prunes. Yum! No fresh scones in the bar, we were offered yesterday's. The cost of alcohol in the bar was through the roof, higher than in the city. It was €8 for a small diet coke and spirit. When we checked out, although we had already paid the remainder on arrival, we were told we owed for the meal - even though this was included in our bargain breaks deal. After a big hullabaloo and us trying to convince them it was included, they then realised they were incorrect. I would not recommend this hotel to any family or friends. I would only recommend this hotel to people in kilkenny for a very short time basically where you are in your room for an hour or 2 and need a roof and running water. Not for a family break and our stay really ruined our one family holiday. I understand we got a great deal for a 2 night break but some sort of standard should be met for these deals and you should get what is advertised on their website. Clearly they keep the worst rooms for the bargain break customers and this does not give you a goid reputation. I will definately think twice beforei consider booking with you again ir recommend you to anyone to my family or work colleagues. As you can understand we are very disappointed but it is important for us to be honest and to make you awareof this.

Stayed here for 2 nights found hotel very clean staff very friendly and helpful food fabulous especially the breakfast everything very fresh and very well presented had dinner from the cavery menu on Sunday it was absolutely gorgeous so decided to have dinner in the bar on Monday night although the food was beautiful the portion size was very disappointing other than this small complaint we would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back again thank you for a lovely stay

Stayed at the Springhill Court Spa & Leisure for 3 nights last week. Have two small children and we had a great stay. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and its a very tight run ship.. Swimming pool and leisure centre excellent along with evening children club. Great value for money and good choice of food in the newly refurbished bar. The manager Seamus was very helpful and looked after us very well. Caitriona & Ollie

Reviewer63357487 scored 4 / 5 on 21/03/2016

Booked this hotel at the last minute did not know what it would be like. Booked for my elderly parents and I and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Reception is bright and airy with a lovely seating area inside and out. Check in was easy and we were allocated a room on 2nd floor. However this room did not have a floor level shower to suit my parents, my fault of course I should have requested same. However one phone call to reception and all was sorted, in 10 minutes we were in ground floor bedroom which was both spacious and provided the required floor level shower. Anne and Jan deserve special mention for their genuine concern and apologetic approach about the initial room allocated. Absolutely not their fault but my omission in not requesting the floor level shower. The breakfast was good and varied choices great poached eggs and porridge on request. Hotel location is only 1.4 miles from Kilkenny Castle. Will use this hotel again.

James scored 2 / 5 on 06/01/2016

following our recent visit to the springhill court hotel, I have to say in all honesty we will not be back. On the hotel website they advertise the rooms as being spacious, they are anything but, we had a family room that was not fit for purpose, the double and single bed looked like they were squeezed into the space available. the bathroom was tiny, you could sit on the toilet and your shoulder is touching the sink. As for the food is was not of the quality I expected and it was over priced. on the first night I had sliced beef in hoi sin sauce served on a baguette, their was about 4 pieces of beef hidden in all the onion, my daughter had the smoked salmon which to our amazement it was served on 2 pieces of brown sliced pan. and our complaints fell as expected on deaf ears. giving this hotel a miss the next time were in Kilkenny.

Booked for 1 night b&b myself husband & 3 kids for €70 & after reading mixed reviews wasn't sure what to expect. I could not recommend enough I called ahead to ask for early check in so we could get dressed for wedding & was told our room would be ready for 12.30 found our room comfortable & spotless also asked to be away from any bar function room as traveling with 3 kids we were well away from any noise & on going to bed at 12.30 there was a wedding in full swing in function room so was a bit worried but thank fully couldn't hear a think from our room, breakfast was lovely as nice if not nicer then any 4 star in Ireland staff all very helpful & friendly, in terms of value for money definitely the best deal we ever got will defiantly return in the future.

Welcoming reception and very friendly staff. Kids club great, and good food served in bar. Pool area ok, needs some TLC, changing rooms could do with refurbishing. Traffic noise would be a problem if your not used to it. Overall the family had a great time. A great base to explore wonderful Kilkenny.

Reviewer97052647 scored 2 / 5 on 12/08/2015

I have stayed in the Springhill Court before but was disappointed this time as it all seemed a bit tired . the room was spacious but one of the beds had a very sharp sprig sticking out which we brought to the attention of the hotel .Also the food in the restaurant is only mediocore . the soup was like baby food and too salty and as I am Coeliac there was very little choice on the menu in comparison to before.I also had to wait in the restaurant for a while someone to go out to the shops to get gluten Free brown bread which I was assured they had on our arrival . The Staff were friendly as always but as it was an effort it seemed for ltiile things I don't think I will be returning to this hotel again or recommending it either . Sincerely Helen O'Neill

Toni scored 3 / 5 on 03/08/2015

Stayed for 2 nights last week. Rooms tiny but clean. Breakfast was good, but self service area very crowded into tight space. Food was good, staff were very friendly. The kids club was a big hit with 5yr old. Pool changing area very grubby, shower area looked like it hadn't been cleaned both days. Pity no WiFi in rooms.

Sheila scored 3 / 5 on 29/07/2015

The staff were lovely. The reception and bar area were very nice. The room was a bit musty. We stayed in a disabled room and the shower area was not nice. The tiles were grubby and the shower mat obviously hadn't been used or clean as there were 3 spiders wrapped around it. Also the shower area in the leisure centre was disgraceful. There was mountain of hair in the drains. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all.

Vanessa scored 5 / 5 on 19/07/2015

Oh dear - the hotel is quite run down. They have a sign saying 'bear with us during renovations' but we could see no evidence of any work . Breakfast was a disaster. Too many people arrived at once and the woman supervising could not cope. Because she was under pressure she was rude. A simple apology and explanation would have made a difference. Instead she was curt and bad-tempered. We spoke to two people who had booked in for 3 nights, but were now checking out after one and I was glad we were not staying. Rooms are clean and staff (except for 1) were lovely, but I would go elsewhere.

Couldn't fault it for much to be honest eventhough I would say that the bar food in particular was very basic and they seem to be charging the equilivant of DUBLIN PRICES for virtually everything. kids really enjoyed themselves which was most important for us. Play area would have been a big plus for the kids apart from the kids club room.

We stayed here with our kids - the hotel was lovely the staff went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome - we were able to enjoy our evening while the kids attended the kids club and there was no problem having the children in the bar in the evening as it was quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you are looking for family friendly holiday :-)

Just stayed one night in Springhill Court Spa & Leisure and can't fault it. We got stuck in traffic on the way and had to change the time for our dinner booking which they accommodated no problem. The dinner was nice, not exceptional but when you're paying a tenner each you can't go wrong. Service was good. We didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment on them. Brekkie was the typical buffet brekkie from most hotels these days. It does finish at 10am though which is quite early. For €49 pp b&b and dinner I can't complain!

Very much a 3 star hotel we booked into a family room which was way too small to be advertised as being family friendly! It was literally an extra bed we asked for an upgrade but we were told the other rooms weren't any bigger! Food was ok restaurant was very dark and gloomy could definetly do with a revamp! On a positive note the pool was great and the kids enjoyed it! Won't be going back thou!!!

From the outside the hotel does not look like much. But the inside is beautifully set up. It has a lovely bar area and a restaurant area. We took advantage of the pool area, the gym and the Spa during our stay and were very happy. Only thing i was not happy with was how thin the walls and windows were. Our bedroom was beside where staff park so i always heard the closing of car doors or the wheeling out of bins at night. And could always hear other guests talking in the corridor outside. Led to losing sleep. All in all though i rate this hotel high.

Orna scored 3 / 5 on 30/04/2014

Hotel nice but noisy due to being on main Waterford road. Our youngest, 5 had great time in kids club and they enjoyed swimming pool. The only problem was with the meal included in our 2 nite B&B plus one dinner, was that the dinner. very poor choice and we ordered 1 bottle of house wine which was 22 euro plus drinks for the kids which ended up being 55.54 euro. I will not be staying here again

recently stayed at the springhill court in killkenny and found the leisure centre very good and have to compliment the staff who were all excellent had three children with me and they had a ball. But unfortunately thats all the good points. the hotel was very quiet there was absolutely no athmosphere or buzz about the place and the window in our room was broken and would not close properly and found the room and indeed the entire hotel dirty.when I moved one of the beds I found lots of crisps and cheerios. At breakfast the cereal bowls were dirty and the cooked breakfast wouldnt have you rushing back for more. definitely wont be back.

The Springhill is a beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Kilkenny city. It has accommodating and friendly staff. The food was very nice and passed the kids test. the rooms were spacious and airy, not too cold not too hot. Best of all was the kiddy pool which was enjoyed by all. One other important thing for kids was the fact that the hotel has a lift!!! P.J.

The staff throughout this hotel are its best asset as they are all extremely efficient and friendly. The rooms are ok as is the food. The hotel has a leisure centre which is always a bonus. However l felt the bar prices were too expensive €3.10 for a glass of Guinness, l suppose they have to make the money somewhere as the accommodation rate is very good. Enjoyed our stay but not sure if l would return.

Hotel and bedroom was fine and staff friendly but unfortunately although reasonable value, the food was poor. My wifes starter (vol-o-vent) was cold in the middle and very hot on the outside (obviously heated in a microwave). Both main courses were cold (both meat and veg) and when we complained the waiter apologised to us saying there was a large wedding party next door and the kitchen staff were under pressure....We enjoyed the bar area and the bedroom was fine but we were very disappointed with the food. Sorry, but this spoiled our evening...

I recently stayed at the Springhill court Hotel with my husband and 3 year old son. We had a brilliant stay and have to say the courtesy of the staff and service couldnt be better. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and our room was perfect. Leisure facilities were very handy to have onsite as my son loves swimming and the following morning our breakfast was like a banquet! So much to choose from and as much as we wanted. Will definitely return again next year. Great value!!!!!

Enjoyed stay at your hotel. We stayed with you in the past also. The rooms were very well made-up, breakfast was great, bar and entertainment good also The room cleaning staff need to be allocated to the leisure centre changing rooms urgently and periodically thereafter (eg mens urinals not not good) Suggest detailed survey needs to be completed by Brennan Management of the Hotel and Leisure Centre as a whole with view to Refurbishment costing and investment. This is a very convenient hotel from Dublin at 1hr 20min Also our double bed matress, Room 113 114? is showing significant signs of wear and tear (hollow look from compression)

The rooms were spacious and bright and there were plenty of clean towels etc. The breakfast in the morning was very good with a wide choice of fruit and cereal as well as the full Irish. The leisure centre was great with a good big pool. Its biggest asset were the staff. They were friendly and very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. Lots to do and see in Kilkenny. Spent a Saturday night here and although the staff where excellent throughout the hotel we will not be returning to stay again as the hotel is in serious need of modernization. The rooms are very dated except for the wallpaper behind the bed ! a cheap attempt to make the rooms look better than they are in the hotel pictures. Bathrooms are very small, dull and dated. The food was average, not bad but not great, but again service was excellent and very fast, maybe to fast ( no breaks between courses ). Also, the front of the hotel faces onto the kilkenny - waterford road and can be noisy enough with traffic noise pollution heard from the rooms at the front, we asked to be moved and where lucky enough to have a room available in a quiet part of the hotel on the ground floor. BARELY A 3 STAR WITH GREAT STAFF !

Myself and my husband had a mid week break at the Springhill Court & Spa Leisure. We found the staff most pleasant and helpful except when we arrived we had lunch in the bar served by a very unfriendly woman which wasn't a great start ! However the restaurant staff couldn't have been nicer and we had a lovely dinner and breakfast. The room was nice and beds extremely comfortable and the hotel spotless clean. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, the kids really enjoyed the kids club. The leisure centre was very good and clean, the bar food and breakfast buffet was excellent. The only issue we had was with our room when we checked in, the first room we were given was not a family room. When I rang reception I was told that there were no other rooms available until the next night, but I explained that we had made the booking a month ago and confirmed our booking a fortnight before we arrived and after a bit of discussion we eventually were given a family room that was spacious and clean. The bar staff were efficient friendly.

The staff were friendly and efficient. We telephoned reception for an iron and ironing board and it was brought to our room very promptly. The room itself was fine, nothing major. It was clean and the beds were really, really comfortable. Despite being on the side of the hotel facing a main, busy road, neither of us had any problem sleeping. The breakfast was adequate, there were no mushrooms or cheese in the buffet breakfast. Apart from that it was tasty and well cooked. Overall it was a good experience.

We had a very pleasant overnight B&B and dinner in the Springhill Hotel. The meals were delicious, the staff courteous and helpful and the room comfortable. It is a convenient dstance from the city centre to walk or to drive. I took a delightful evening walk along the Ring Road with the smell of the hawthorn enhancing the air. The hotel is bright and welcoming and very good value for a quiet break away.

We are just back from a 2 night break in The Springhill Court. The hotel itself is fairly basic. It could do with a makeover. Our 'family' room was really a regular room with a camp bed put in the corner meaning there wasn't much room to move about. Breakfast was fine, there could have been more options but for the price we paid it was fine. All the staff were lovely, polite and helpful. The leisure centre was great, the kids really enjoyed it. The kids club was super, it was on from 6 - 10pm every evening and my kids had a great time. The food in the bar is a bit overpriced but is tasty. The hotel is 5 mins drive from the city centre, there is loads of parking in the city and plenty of things to do. We visited the castle, played in the playground, went on a train tour of the city, climbed St. Canice's Tower and ate in the Left Bank. It's a lovely little city which is easy to get about on foot. The price we paid with Lidl Breaks was very good value and we would go back again.

We had a great night stay at the Springhill Court Spa & Leisure hotel. We only booked one night but will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it. The service in the restaurant/reception/ bar was great and we will be returning very soon.

I booked a family room for my elderly and not very mobile mother and my 2 young girls. I rang in advance to let them know I would be arriving around 8pm (Friday night). When I arrived I was given a triple room (on 3rd floor) (1 double bed and 1 single) and was given a camp bed when I pointed out there were 4 of us, and this was not what we had booked! No other rooms were available in hotel that night. Thankfully my mother is deaf so did not hear most of the "party" that ensued in the corridor outside the room from about 12.30 - 7 AM, (she only heard it from about 6am) and somehow my youngest daughter (4) slept through the racket. My other daughter (6) woke up scared at the banging of doors etc. Empty beer glasses thrown on corridor near lift in the morning. I would strongly NOT recommend this hotel for a young family. I would NOT recommend this hotel to elderly people. Overall very disappointed. Giving 1 star rating as I cant give 0.

Married scored 2 / 5 on 25/03/2013

Seems the 3rd floor is for smoking, drinking and parties, no problem with this, but the receptionist should have realised not to put my heavily pregnant wife on this floor. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, and a big party kicked off next door that went on for hours, We moved rooms in the middle of the night. It was our first night away in 2 years and we were just looking for relaxation and thought by being out of Kilkenny itself we would get this. Other than that grand hotel.

The leisure centre and pool were very enjoyable. There was great sound proofing in this hotel which meant we had a great sleep . We heard no noise or doors banging in the night. The location was great off the Waterford roundabout. It was great value for money.

The Springhill Court Hotel is a very pleasant place to stay although I found a few things amiss. The lighting in the bathroom was very poor and the noise from the fan was annoying. The tea & coffee making facilities were found in a press under the T.V. but there was no socket near to plug kettle into. This had to be taken out of press and moved to another location. (There was only 1 socket in the room). The lighting in the room was also very poor. I found it a bit odd that the restaurant was closed because of a wedding and residents who booked dinner as part of their package had to eat in the bar. Having said all that I found the staff extremely nice and friendly.

The hotel was well situated for getting into centre of KIlkenny. The swimming pool was fantastic. Having read the other reviews, I tend to agree with what has been said about the food. The children did not finish their meals - bangers and mash were swamped with gravy, which was not offered as an option and bolognese sauce was not influenced by anything Italian that I could make out - rather a watery mess. Whilst the family room was spacious and comfortable, I was woken three times in the night by noisy people upstairs and in the corridor and even with ear plugs, this disturbance was loud! I don't know how to avoid this, other than opting for smaller hotels or bed and breakfasts.

Hi, We were quite disappointed with our stay in the Springhill Court hotel. The rooms cleanliness was not up to the standard i would expect in a hotel. Ledges were dusty, carpet was stained and a large wet patch present outside the bathroom door. Bathroom was not clean, corners and edges of floor build up of dirt, stains in the toilet bowl, build up of dirt around plug hole of sink and bath and the seal around the bath was grotty looking. You just did not feel clean using the bathroom. Problems with our meal - I asked for a well done steak which came out with blood all over it and throughout, i had to send it back and it still came out medium which i could not eat. I would not recommend or stay in the hotel again. I am not a fussy person, just happy with a clean bed and bathroom but the lack of effort was very noticeable. Rgds, Laura Mc Guinness

Stayed here with my husband and three children, for four nights , staff were fantastic couldnt do enough for us Hotel in need of updating but clean enough , We had a family room which was a good size and clean , , Bathroom s need up dating as well our shower curtain fell down a few times while we were there . Leisure centre quite good Large pool bit too deep for my children and baby pool too shallow no in between but having said that the children throughly enjoyed it . Childrens club is not what we thought it was , its just a medium sized room with some toys , and children of all ages run riot there , we would definitly not leave our children unattended there , although the staff seem okay there they just seem to go through the motions , its more like a baby sitting service with way too many children for two staff . Food was very good in the bar and staff were excellent with one guy in particular being exceptional cant remember his name but he did everything at the hotel and was so helpful on every level. All in all was great value for money .

I would not recommend this hotel at all, service was very poor and resturant was totally awful, am still waiting on my chips and bread rolls from my dinner....and the waiter left us while he "helped a guest with his luggage" yes this was at dinner time!!! We got a hair in the scrabbled egg...and the waiters response was " well this could be from any off the guests staying here" I don't care who's hair it is it SHOULD NOT be in the food......The fire alarm went off twice at 2 and 2.30 am and at 3am I got a call from the reception looking to see if I had made a complaint!!! I didn't as I was asleep....It was purely awful would not recommend this hotel whatsoever and would rather pay a little extra and stay somewhere else as we had a room at the front of the hotel and the noise from the road was awful also...jeez I could write a book about this place...just steer clear!

The hotel didn't look great from the outside but was more modern inside. The lift to our room didn't work and we had a bit of a journey along corridors and up a stairs to get to our room, which was well laid out and spacious. We had a room at the back of the hotel which overlooked other rooms/staff quarters so not such a great view. The pool was brilliant and the staff overall were excellent, the breakfast was the nicest I've ever tasted and the dinner we had the night before was well presented and delicious. The bar was a little old fashioned and grotty but the staff were pleasant while not instantly attentive. The line dancing championships were on at the time of our visit so there was plenty of colourful costumes and music in the background.

My friend and I stayed here overnight for a birthday celebration in May 2010. We found the staff really friendly and the food was excellant. We used the leisure centre and the only problem there was the jacuzzi wasnt hot enough. We also used the spa facilities which we were very pleased with as the staff were very experienced and the prices were very reasonable. Our only criticism with the hotel is the rooms are very dated and badly in need of modernisation.
